Description of hotel and grounds

The basement of the hotel is where the Indoor playground and ”The Boutique” where clothing and accessories can be found, are located.

The Boutique is NOT a store or shop. No money is needed; simply choose what you want and take it. There are all kinds of clothing from many different cultures and timelines. If your pup is likely to wear robes in canon, then robes are certainly available, etc.

On the Ground Floor, pups will find:

The Lobby
Mixed Leaves, the tea room.
Solaria Restaurant
The Pantry Restaurant
Suburbia Bar
Blix Bar
Trends Lounge

My pup wants to eat at the restaurant, or drink at the bar. With no staff in evidence, how do they order? There are menus at the tables and bar. Your pup should decide what they would like to eat (use your imagination, you do not need mod approval for the types of food and drink available) and place their order with the table or the bar, and their order will appear in about the same amount of time it would take at a good restaurant. Empty dinner plates will be 'removed' when dessert is ordered, or when all of the diners leave the table. If a pup wants to take a meal back to their suite, or out onto the grounds or anywhere other than the restaurant, they should still order with a table or bar, but specify that the order is 'to go.' The food will appear in portable containers, in a bag or basket. There are no machines, coffee pots, drink dispensers, robots, self-serve items (other than condiments) or anything else in evidence--please do NOT add embellishments like this to your threads! If your pup wants another drink, then they simply ask the table or bar for it.

the ballroom
Small library, at the end of the east wing.
Large library, off of the Lobby

What kinds of books are in the library?Mostly books for enjoyment, though there are some educational texts available. Only books published with a pup's lifetime on their world will be able to be read by them. If a pup picks up a book published from outside his lifetime, or from another world, the pages will appear blank. There are periodicals available for viewing on the computers, from several different worlds, in many different languages. A retinal scan will dictate what material your pup is able to access, so they do not learn anything they should not know about the future of their own world. No one is sure how it works, but it does. NOTE: If a book was published outside of your pup's lifetime, or is from another world, but your pup has already read it, for whatever reason, then the book will be visible to them.

Screening room one
Screening room two

What kinds of movies are available to my pups? The screening room if for larger groups of people to watch movies together in (though certainly anyone or two can use it as well). The person who makes the request for the movie must choose something they have either seen before, or that was made/produced in their lifetime. New movies that come out during the time the pup is residing in Here will also be available by a computerized menu. Once the pup choosing the movie has made a selection, anyone from any timeline may watch.

Small non-denominational chapel.
Music room, for live music to be played (located across from the small library, at the end of the east wing).

What is in the music room? The music room is furnished with a grand piano, along with just about any other type of instrument that one might imagine, tucked away in cabinets or arranged on stands around the room. There is also a large selection of sheet music, music stands, chairs, lounges and other comfortable seating for anyone who wishes to play, or listen to others play. Please do not have your pups take instruments from the room without prior permission from a mod.

The Fitness Center, treadmills, weights, other exercise equipment.
An indoor pool
Video game console room.
Billiards and game room.

There are NO shops in the hotel, at all. Please do not have your pup ‘going shopping’ or ‘visiting the shops or stores’. If they are going to go get new clothes from The Boutique, it is all right to jokingly refer to it as ‘going shopping’, but this is really the only case where it is appropriate. Again, embellishing the hotel with non-existent shops will only confuse other players, and cause problems later on.

To prove that you are actually reading this, please include your favorite flavor of ice cream in the subject line when you comment at the bottom of this page.

The Upper Floors are where the residents live. Floors one and two are single bedroom, and the third floor are two-bedroom suites. Do not ask for a two-room suite, unless two pups are cohabitating, and not sharing a bed (at least initially).

Each resident is given a luxurious room with a bedroom, living space, fully stocked kitchen and bathroom . Each room is a little bit different from the next, and many rooms have a balcony or deck with a table and chairs for enjoying the fresh air.

Each suite has a kitchen. The Suites' cupboards and refrigerator/freezer are supplied/refilled with groceries at the same time the room is cleaned (when a resident leaves his or her room), but the meals DO NOT make themselves, nor does anything appear out of thin air while a person is waiting/watching/wishing or requesting it. If your pup wants prepared food in their suite, they must prepare it themselves, or bring it back from a restaurant or bar. If you have read this far, please add the letter “Q” to the reply confirming you have read this, as well.

The Attic is seemingly inaccessible at the moment, but we have plans for it, oh yes, we do!

Outdoors

The lake, with small boats available.
Telescopes are set up on a large deck outside near the pool area.
Tennis courts, with lockers with all the equipment you need!
Stables with fine horses for riding.
Archery range.
Mountain bike trail, with bikes available in a handy shed.
Various outdoor playgrounds to give children some variety.
A small golf course; only nine holes, but entertaining, just the same!
Outdoor pool for swimming or lounging.
A Greenhouse, located in between The Residence and the stables

What sorts of things are in the greenhouse? All modern conveniences that one might expect to find in a greenhouse will be available in and around cupboards and cabinets around the structure, including seeds of various types (carefully and clearly marked), buckets, hoses, faucets sinks, spades, trowels, a watering system, etc. Obviously nothing like heavy machinery will be around, but you can god in simple gardening tools without permission. Keep in mind that more than one person will want to use the greenhouse, so don't have your pup go nuts and fill the entire place with their own plants. Leave some room for others to enjoy their own little plot to grow things in.
Take a look at this post for OOC rules of the greenhouse and further explanations.

Don't forget that there are secret passages on the grounds and inside The Residence!

All players should comment below to confirm that they have read and understand everything listed here. Please list all of your pups by journal name in your reply, so we can make a good accounting of who has and has not read this. Thank you!
